Exhibits

The Children’s Museum of Richmond recognizes that caregivers are a child’s first, and most important teachers. We are committed to providing high-quality early learning experiences for children and their caregivers. The Museum environment encourages serve and return conversations between caregiver and child, which are integral to the development of early literacy and social-emotional skills. For more information on how caregivers can support their young child’s development, visit https://thebasics.org/.

Both of the Children's Museum locations feature a wide range of engaging exhibits for children ages 0-8 and their caregivers!

Downtown

The Downtown location will be under partial construction February–June 2026 as we build exciting new exhibits. We’ll remain open throughout this period. More details about exhibit moves, closures, and updates are available in our Dream Big FAQ.
