Holiday Village

Holiday Village is comprised of beloved playhouses that introduce holidays from around the world. This seasonal exhibit provides the ideal opportunity to educate young people about holidays celebrated by other cultures. The exhibit showcases six festivals celebrated by our Richmond neighbors throughout the year: Christmas, Diwali, Eid, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and the Lunar New Year. Each row house – a send-up to homes in Richmond’s Fan neighborhood – features the symbols, decorations and customs that enrich this season of light for so many families.

The Holiday Village is available from early November through New Years Day in the Grandis Gallery at our Downtown Museum.
