Grand Cavern

This exhibit includes the Cave, Fossil Touch Panels, Infinity Well, and Bat Signals.

Venture beneath the surface to explore the hidden wonders of Virginia’s underground landscapes. Children can crawl through a winding cave, discover ancient fossils by touch, peer into an endless-looking well, and learn about the important role bats play in our ecosystem. Along the way, they’ll build curiosity, confidence, and an appreciation for the natural world through hands-on exploration. The Grand Cavern includes the original Cave from our Navy Hill location!
