Alma Thomas Painting – Downtown

Wednesday February 28, 2024 | 1:30 pm-2:30 pm

Alma Thomas-inspired art: Colorful dot painting on paper plates with red, blue, yellow, and green hues.

February is Black History Month and in our art studios we are celebrating Alma Thomas, an artist who began to paint after retiring from being a schoolteacher. We will look at photographs of her paintings to discuss the patterns and colors she used, then try making our own Alma Thomas-style painting.

This event is ideal for ages 3-8+ yrs.

This event is free with Museum admission.
