Dear Friend of the Children’s Museum of Richmond,

Over the last year, the Children’s Museum expanded its operating hours to six days a week, celebrated 40 years of play, opened two brand new exhibit experiences, overhauled and upgraded two existing exhibits, distributed over 10,000 books out into the community, welcomed Legendary Santa for his 85th year of holiday magic in Richmond, launched a new virtual and in-person Kindergarten Readiness series, started the design of a new traveling exhibit called BUILD IT, approved a new Strategic Plan to help provide more children with access to learn through play, and SO MUCH MORE!

Behind all of these exciting developments, there is an incredible team to thank. From the Guest Services team that welcomes families in Downtown and Chesterfield, to the Facilities & Exhibits team that builds and designs new experiences from scratch, to the Education team that goes out into the community to enrich the lives of our youngest learners — CMoR is not what it is without the team of spectacular individuals who come to work every day, dedicated to uplift our mission.

As we embark into the second half of 2022, we need your help. After so much time of disrupted learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for hands-on, engaging learning experiences is greater than ever.

CMoR’s programming works to engage interactions between children, parents, and other caregivers to give children from every background a more equitable start.

For example, by giving $149 today, you can provide a low-income family with a one-year membership to enjoy all of the magic, excitement, and joy that the Children’s Museum of Richmond offers.

Some children’s worlds are limited by their immediate environments. The Children’s Museum of Richmond is a pillar in the local community that broadens their horizons, complements classroom learning, and works to provide equal access for all children to learn through play.

Please make a gift today to enrich the lives of families in our community. From all of us at CMoR, we thank you for your commitment to our work and your generous support.

Warm Regards,

Danielle Ripperton

Executive Director
