Saturday, April 9 (15)

Join the Children’s Museum of Richmond and its partners to help you and your child get ready for Kindergarten!

We’ll be hosting events from April through August to help prepare your family for the first day of school. The Children’s Museum of Richmond presents an online Kindergarten Readiness Speaker Series premiering on the second Friday of each month, followed by free Kindergarten-focused events in our Downtown Museum’s lobby on the second Saturday of each month.

From 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, join us for Let’s Explore a School Bus, our fourth event in our Kindergarten Readiness Series. This event includes playful learning activities designed by Museum educators and featuring community partners in the Downtown Museum lobby.

The DMV will be present helping kids sign up for Kid ID cards (documents required) and there will be a big yellow school bus that kids and families can board and explore.

For the DMV Kid’s ID: The parents will need to bring their child’s original birth certificate (photo, faxed, or scanned copies are not accepted) along with social security card (photo, faxed, or scanned copies are not accepted) and 2 proofs of Virginia residency. The proof of address will need to have the parent(s) name and address on both documents presented and they will need to match.

This event is free, but does not include Museum admission.
