Homemade Lint Modeling Dough

Doing lots of laundry? Put that dryer lint to work with this creative Lint Modeling Dough activity.

Materials/Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of dryer lint (you may need to collect for a little while to have enough!)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • optional: spearmint essential oil to scent

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in a medium saucepan. Stir continuously over low heat until the liquid is absorbed and the dough combines (about 10 minutes) ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED!

Once the dough has cooled enough to handle, you can use whatever molds/forms you like.

Leave them to dry (it can take up to a week depending on the conditions).

Once dry, you can unmold them from the forms and then get creative! Paint them, play with them, create gifts, use in your pretend play…
