When we opened our fourth satellite location in Fredericksburg in 2014 a global pandemic was not something we thought we would have needed to plan for.

Unfortunately, as a non-profit relying on 70% of its income on ticket sales, memberships, birthday parties, etc. it became our challenge to ensure that the Children’s Museum was able to survive to continue to serve the families of Central Virginia. It is with a heavy heart that we announce today that our Fredericksburg location is now permanently closed.

Instead of mourning the loss of this vibrant location we want to turn it into a celebration of the fun times we have had over the past 6 years. From the day we opened to Trikes for Tykes, the 4th of July parade to the Christmas tree lighting, and EVERYTHING in between, we have had such an amazing time in the “540!”
