SUMMARY:"Feelings Forest" Art Activity - Chesterfield
DESCRIPTION:The Museum’s theme for February is Emotional Competence\, or the ability to recognize and express feelings constructively. We will use different materials to create a mixed media picture of our “Feelings Forest” by ripping paper (Frustration)\, painting with watercolors (Sadness)\, and drawing our favorite things (Joy). \nThis event is ideal for ages 3-8+ yrs. \nThis event is free with Museum admission. \nAbout February’s Emotional Competence theme\nDeveloping emotional competence in children is essential for their social\, emotional\, and academic well-being. It equips them with the skills needed to navigate the complexities of life\, build positive relationships\, and thrive. Children who can regulate their emotions and focus on tasks can better engage in learning\, concentrate in class\, and perform well academically.
