Director of Marketing & Development
The Children’s Museum is searching for an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial minded Director of Development and Marketing to help us achieve our mission of inspiring growth in all children by engaging families in learning through play. This is a full time position with benefits that reports to the Executive Director. This position is based out of the downtown location.
The Director of Development and Marketing supports the Museum mission through leading all fundraising efforts including donor relations, major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorship. This position will work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Trustee’s Development Committee to fulfill the objectives of the annual development plan through the implementation of diverse fund-raising strategies including individual gifts, board development, grants, capital and corporate sponsorship campaigns. This position will also manage all grant writing requests to corporations, foundations, government and individuals, including application and reporting calendar.
The Director also develops and implements Marketing and Communications strategy for the Museum including public relations, media relations, branding, and digital experience. This positon will develop and implement an overall branding strategy to ensure cohesive branding throughout the organization.
Candidates should have a demonstrable passion for the mission and work of the Museum. Successful candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with others with diverse backgrounds and education levels. Candidates should have a strong business acumen and the ability to build and maintain relationships and teams.
Skills and Abilities:
Candidates should have five plus years’ experience in non-profit fundraising through volunteer work, board service, or employment. Candidates should have knowledge of marketing principles and brand standards. Candidates should have experience working in relational databases, Word Press, social media tools, and Photoshop, Canva or similar design program. Candidates should also have experience using Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, or similar programs.
Candidates must have a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check. Candidates should have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Housekeeping Team Member – Chesterfield
The Children’s Museum is hiring Housekeeping Team Members for our Chesterfield location. These are part time positions with shifts available seven days per week from 10am-6pm. These positions will begin mid to late June.
Housekeeping Team Members are responsible for the cleaning maintenance of the building and exhibits. Team Members will collect and dispose of trash and recyclables, clean and restock restrooms, vacuum floors, and sanitize exhibits and other areas.
Skills & Abilities
Successful candidates will be friendly and enthusiastic, and enjoy working around children and families. Candidates should have excellent customer service skills and thrive on completing tasks.
Candidates should have reliable transportation and a clean background. Candidates should be able to walk or stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, lift and move up to 40 pounds.
